Episode 7: Our Holiday SF Squeecast Extravaganza
Welcome to our Winter Holiday Extravaganza Episode of the SF Squeecast! This episode brought our regular cast together once again: Catherynne M. Valente, Elizabeth Bear, Lynne M. Thomas, Seanan McGuire, and Paul Cornell.
In this episode we talked about:
- The film The Nightmare Before Christmas (shared by Seanan McGuire)
- Stealth Holiday Films [kitchen sink edition] (shared by Elizabeth Bear) (Seriously, too many to list. Just trust us)
- Terry Pratchett’s novel Hogfather (shared by Catherynne M. Valente)
- “Too Many Christmas Trees” from The Avengers (shared by Lynne M. Thomas)
- It’s a Wonderful Life (shared by Paul Cornell)
We also asked Seanan our silly questions at long last. There may even be some spontaneous caroling. Along with Seanan’s explanation of the importance of stopping murdering people during the holiday season.

How could y’all miss Love, Actually? Perhaps the best Christmas movie ever to feature a Lobster at the birth of Christ!
Great episode!

Thanks! I, too, am a fan of Love, Actually (and all things Richard Curtis in general), but I hadn’t rewatched it in a while… *formulates plan*
Glad you liked the episode.

My favorite Christmas movies? The Legend of Hell House (it ends on Dec. 24th), Gremlins (mentioned), and Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale.
